Friday My Town Shootout
This weeks theme is CHAIRS! I didn't think I had anything for this one until I remembered this photo taken a couple of days ago at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
These are Sea Swings!

I -love- those flying chairs! Too bad they were closed and you couldn't go for a spin.

ReplyDeleteWe call that swing the cherry ride. The only explanation I've ever heard that makes sense of the name is kids are likely to throw up their cherries after being on it. Sorry, that's a bit grose, isn't it? Especially as it's one ride I really love. Lovely choice for this week!

ReplyDeleteYou are describing how some of our teachers sit. May be you have heard, New Zealanders like to go bare footed, and the Jandals aka filp flops are their national icon.
ReplyDeleteThose flying chairs, I went 15 years ago in LA Disney, after the flying, I told my husband, I will never go on them again. Imagine if the chains break off.
Sure enough, my little son wanted to go, and we haven't been .
I rode those rides as a kid, but you wouldn't catch me doing it now!!
