On the Needles

Four days until Christmas. 4 days. I am not a fast knitter. Especially with lace weight yarn that is very hairy and slippery. But it's wonderful yarn. Like knitting with wisps of clouds. It's Elann Silken Kydd in pewter. This is a lovely blend of Mohair and Silk.
I'm hoping to turn this
into this
by Christmas. I'm about 6 rows away from starting the lace part. No, I don't think I'll make it by then either. LOL.  I'll just keep my head down and charge forward. Knit on, knit on...

  1. Well, Pam, I find myself stuck at the beginning of the lace! Dang! Maybe I'll put in a lifeline before I continue, cuz there's a VERY good chance that I'll have to rip back! lol!

  4. Well, I've emailed the person that created the pattern. Believe it or not, she emailed back on Christmas Eve!!! I probably didn't state my question well enough, so I emailed a second time. Can't wait to figure it out! LOL!

    1. Of course, I didn't get it done by Christmas, but I did let my daughter "feel" the yarn! Perhaps enough to keep her patience?
