Coeurs et Fleurs Hat

It's hard to tell in the picture, but the design is of leaves, or diamonds. I can't imagine being able to write a pattern. Math was never my strong suit, and I'm pretty sure designing requires it. My mind doesn't work that way, lol. Although, I guess if you have been knitting forever, and know what kind of stitch will turn into what you want your design to be, then maybe it's a natural progression on the knitting highway. This pattern, by Linda Irving-Bell can be found on ravelry.com.

The bright tomato color of the yarn is fitting in nicely with my decision to move away from all of the blacks and blues of my closet. I'm breaking out of that mindset. Wheeeeeee!

  1. Thanks, Pam! It is really cute, and I'm thinking of another in lime green!

  2. There's nothing like changing one's colours for changing one's view pf life. Looking at my colour phases through my life would doubtless have a research psychiatrist tearing his hair out. Go Lisa. Change your colours. You'll never regret it. (PS I see nothing wrong with black and blue but I see lots of right with change to something less sober).

    1. GB, as I get older, I'm realizing how little time there may be left. Who am I really? This life has been a gift that I may not have lived to the fullest.
You are doing exactly what speaks to your heart; Lewis and NZ! You're living your heart. :)

    1. I paired this hat with "Lacy Boot Toppers" on Ravelry for my daughter's birthday. The hat and toppers together will be so cute with a pair of jeans, right?
