47 Days

Here's what I'm working on. Crazy, huh? Never mind the fact that I've never used more than one color in a project. And never mind that I've never even considered attempting "colorwork" on any level.
But I have those two one-year-old grandbabies that need Christmas stockings! It seems like the older I get, the more adventurous I have become when it comes to sticks and yarn. Maybe it's like the saying goes, so many projects, so little time kind of thing. I found this free pattern on ravelry.com.
So, I got about 1/4 of the way through one and had to rip out 12 rows, start again, only to frog back (rip it, rip it, rip it) three more times! Aarrggh!
I had sent off for KnitPicks circular needles and they arrived today. I'm hoping that they are my good luck charms, and that I'll find my way to the finished stockings! :) Wish me luck!

  1. I wish you luck! I knitted a scarf when I was young - a very long green scarf.

  2. Shabbygirl...did you knit those? They are beautiful. I wouldn't even know where to begin! Looks very difficult to me. But it does put me in the spirit!

  3. NO! These are the photos from the pattern, lol! I'm working on my first one. No matter how it turns out, I'll post my stocking. Surely it won't look like that. Hehehe.

    1. Rosemary,
If you go to ravelry.com and type annies woolens in the search bar, these and many more stockings will come up. I'm looking forward to seeing how you do your heel!
