Hello Deming!

We're so excited about being "on our journey."  Turning right on Hwy 10 in AZ, we looked at one another, smiled, and high-fived!  Finally.
There is a whole lot of wide open spaces in New Mexico too!
I wonder how different this scene looks in the spring and summer?

We spent a contented night in Deming, although any of the rv parks right off of Hwy 10, all have road noise and train whistles.  But that's only for a few more nights until we get to our campground on Lake Medina, TX.

So this morning we're headed into Texas!

  1. Oh boy, that looks sparse and almost desert-like. It reminds me of parts Western Australia except that they don't have the mountains as a backdrop.

  3. My grandma took my cousin and me for a road trip on route 66 one year. From Indiana to Albuquerque to Las Vegas and various parts in-between. She was brave driving a 15 year old and a 13 year old! God rest her soul.

  4. Ahh...New Mexico...my favorite.

It probably will look the same in the spring and summer...except for the blooms on the sagebrush and yucca.
